Sweater Weather

Sweater Weather, Feb’2015 [print]

The wind blows a cool breeze
Howling against the vinyl siding
Autumn brings the changing color of leaves
Rustling down the street
The sun begins to rise
Peering through the blinds
I’m comfortably laying between your thighs
My head resting on your chest
I gaze at you sleeping
Words can’t describe how fantastic you are to me
But I can try, through
A series of
Symphonies from your best expressions of love
The instrumental constructs itself freely
Sounds of nature
Music to my ears

The days go on and on
The year is almost gone
What was once full with shades of amber, gold, auburn, green,
And the colors in between
Is now buried beneath layers of
The winter’s first snow
The days are cold
So I reach out to hold
Both your hands in the holes of my sweater
